EuroHockey 2015: England beaten by Germany in semi-final shootout
England men have lost to Germany in the semi-final of the EuroHockey Championships following a penalty shootout.
England's Ashley Jackson had drawn the sides level at 2-2 with a penalty stroke with one minute 50 seconds remaining at the Olympic Park.
Germany went into a 3-2 lead in the shootout, meaning Sam Ward had to score but Nicolas Jacobi stood firm in goal.
The Germans will play the Netherlands in the final on Saturday at 16.30 BST.
