Preston reached round three of the Capital One Cup as Marnick Vermijl's goal gave them victory over Premier League Watford, who ended with 10 men.

Defender Vermijl, who is on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, slotted in from inside the box after Josh Brownhill's shot had been blocked.
